Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session with you?

I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call to give us a chance to connect and see how we might work together. If calls don’t feel comfortable for you, we can also arrange to chat by email or live message instead.

This space is yours to share a little about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to get from the process, and to ask me any questions about how I work. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel for whether I’m the right therapist for you.

There’s absolutely no obligation to continue afterwards, and if it turns out we’re not the best fit, I’ll do my best to signpost you to other support that may be more suitable. If you wish to go ahead, I will send over my contract and a form to capture your details, then we will arrange a day and time for a session.

When you feel ready to take the next step, you’re welcome to get in touch by email or through the contact form to arrange your informal chat.

How much are sessions and how long are they?

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are £50 each. I do also offer an hour and a half sessions at £85 should you feel you would like more time. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, and we can see each other for as long as you feel you need my support.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session will be very relaxed and informal. It’s really a chance for us to start getting to know each other, building trust, and developing a sense of comfort together. There’s no need to dive into anything heavy right away. We can talk about whatever feels right for you, whether that’s how your week has been, what you’re enjoying at the moment, or anything else that comes to mind. There’s no pressure or expectation; we’ll go at your pace and focus on what feels comfortable for you.

What platforms do you use for sessions?

I primarily use Google Meet for video calls, but I can use Zoom or Doxy if you prefer those. We can also do phone calls, or a ‘live chat’ session in a video call, where we can type to each other with cameras and audio off instead if that makes you feel more comfortable.
